
Jack Benny 49 02 20 The Horn Blows At Midnight





Jack has a contract to appear on The Ford Theater to perform a radio version of "The Horn Blows at Midnight", but the Ford Theater director, Fletcher Markle, visits Jack to persuade him not to do THAT play on the program. Jack Warner from the Warner Brothers Studio also stops by to get Benny to forgo reviving The Horn Blows at Midnight, and even offers Jack money and a partnership in the studio, not to do the radio version. Even Mr. Paley of CBS calls to try and stop Jack.
