They, in turn, hired a private detective to shadow Thomas in New York. Rob Gittins's drama draws on archival material for this true story. Jimmy Cain:….Trevor White Editor:…Doug Ballard Beth:….Genevieve Adam Nora:….Laurel Lemow Taxidriver Rhys:……Parry Jones Guard:….Richard Elfyn Producer in Wales: Kate McAii REVIEW; Jimmy Cain is a US private detective who sees the worst in everyone - all their faults, mistakes and treacheries. So when he is hired by Time magazine to get some dirt on Dylan Thomas, it is like a pig in a mud bath. This drama draws on real events in the final days of Thomas's life to reveal a telling home truth to Cain. One only hopes that the poet's most offensive acts have been embellished purely for dramatic effect. Jane Anderson
