(4.8 stars; 202 reviews)

Based on Agatha Christie's novel, The Mirror Crack'd from Side to Side is a thrilling dramatization that brings to life a mysterious murder intertwined with lines from Tennyson's poem The Lady of Shalott. After the death of her husband, Dolly Bantry sells Gossington Hall to the glamorous ex-film star Marina Gregg and her husband. When they host a benefit for the local hospital, tragedy strikes amidst the curious crowd.

It falls to the astute Miss Marple to unravel the truth behind the poison that claimed a life. As the investigation unfolds, it becomes clear that the deadly intent may not have been aimed at the victim at all. With a talented cast including Ian Lavender and Gayle Hunnicutt, this adaptation directed by Enyd Williams aired on BBC Radio 4.
