Reviews
A mystery that is complicated
Linda in PNW
After listening to at least 1/3 of the book, I was not sure why the summary referred to an English man as a main character. Finally, he appears and the book became more interesting. The plot was good but I would have preferred that I knew why all the background information was given. I almost gave up on the book. As I said, once McBean came onto the scene, the pace increased and it was fun to listen to. The various readers all did a decent job.
A must listen!

I always love William Le Queux stories, but while the strong line was very usual, I did notice that the story didn’t follow one specific person. I also loved the different accents of the different readers and think they all did a great job!
