Ben Tucker reading kept me interested

This for me a very weird book. I found the first half or maybe more quite interesting. It wasn't particularly frightening, but rather mysterious and complicated. The characters are fun to get to know. It keeps getting stranger and stranger and then seems to slow way down for a few chapters. The ending did surprise me.
