The Ed Wynn Show
Ed Writes a Book
by
Ed Wynn brings his distinctive comic style to this radio program. Known as the “Perfect Fool,” Wynn built his comedy around an eccentric, childlike persona, with a high, expressive voice and playful delivery.
The show presents Wynn in a radio variety setting, where spoken comedy and performance create a lively listening experience. The episode title, “Ed Writes a Book,” suggests a comic premise centered on Wynn and the business of writing, while the program’s appeal rests on his unusual character and timing.
Wynn’s humor is whimsical and theatrical, balancing verbal jokes with the personality of a performer who could make even ordinary situations feel delightfully absurd.
