A Short History of Scotland is a concise introduction to the history of Scotland from Roman times to the last Jacobite rebellion, written by the author of a much longer Scottish history. (Summary by Sibella Denton.)
This short synopsis of Scottish history is well done and is exactly what this reader wanted--a quick overview giving leading personages and replete with dates. It is an excellent jumping off point for additional study. Thanks to the reader for a lucid and professional job.
An average history, although well read

Well read, but not quite well enough written to get more stars. Good, but not particularly good compared to other histories.
Concise but dense

This is a well-narrated history. Don't let the title fool you! Though relatively short, the quantity of information presented is nearly overwhelming.
good information and well read
