The Book of Ezra was originally attached as one volume with the Book of Nehemiah. It was first separated from Nehemiah in the Latin Vulgate translation of the Bible. The Book tells the story of the Hebrew exiles who returned to Israel from Babylon. It recounts the story of faith and leadership in rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem. The Lord Provides

(4 stars)

This is a story of the amazing lengths God will go to provide if you trust him and do his will. And listed are the names of many of whom saw it first hand. I do still struggle with this reader, though. Speeding it up certainly helps, but there are a lot of pauses, especially with the names.

The Book of Ezra

(5 stars)

I very much enjoy listening to the thoughtful, steady readings by Simon. I pray that he will be encouraged to continue to do so. The history in the Holy Bible is very interesting, but the LORD's message is profound.

Too slow, not very clear

(3 stars)

Reads with a great solemnity but not in a way I want to listen to so I switched to the American Standard for this chapter.

Good book

The story of the return of Israel from Babylon. It ties in with Nehemiah, Jeremiah, Daniel, Haggai and Zechariah.
