Bulfinch’s Mythology, first published in 1855, is one of the most popular collections of mythology of all time. It consists of three volumes: The Age of Fable, The Age of Chivalry, and Legends of Charlemagne. This is a recording of the tenth edition of the first volume, The Age of Fable. It contains many Greek and Roman myths, including simplified versions of The Iliad and The Odyssey, as well as a selection of Norse and “eastern” myths. Thomas Bulfinch’s goal was to make the ancient myths accessible to a wide audience, and so it is suitable for children. (Summary by Kathleen Gatliffe aka TetoYasha) (14 hr 53 min)

good some are hard to understand

very exciting

Good book, mixed readers.

(4 stars)

Bulfinch's Mythology is delightful- a relatively concise and lively retelling the classic myths. The quality of the readers varies- Lizzie Driver was particularly good, and I wished she had a recording of the whole book. Many are just fine, although the pronunciation is a problem for most readers. But there are a few recordings that are just bad- either low quality or poorly read. Or both. The reading of the conclusion of the Trojan war was particularly bad, with the reader stumbling over many names and words and not bothering to fix it. Nonetheless, I'm glad to be about to listen to this, so thanks for your time all of you!

Its ok but some of the readers make it sound boring and Alison Raouf talks too quiet and she has too many pauses, Hugh Mcguire sounds angry and not wanting to read it. Kevin LaVergne sounded like a robot and I loved Kristine Bakeres accent but it sounded muffely.😞 I wish there were more opsions for this book allthogh Graham Redmans acssent makes it sound interesting I cannnot rate this 3 stars but I would rate the actual book 3 stars!

Thanks readers you people help others enjoy classics, your gems

Explains many gods that the romans and the Greeks worshipped, makes you kind of understand how they began to think many rulers or kings were actually gods, some of the readers are somewhat hard to understand, nevertheless you should still read or listen to this book.

it’s ok i guess?🤔🤔

I like reading it more than listening to it. It’s not my favorite but it’s okay. Some of the readers were not easy to understand😔😞
