Reviews

It's an okay story

(3.5 stars)

I wouldn't call this one gripping. I felt sympathy for the main character but no deep connection. There is one obnoxiously difficult character who I wanted our heroine to look at in disbelief and say, " You are totally outrageous; go away!" Alas, she never even got close to that. The Librivox volunteer reader was good and unlike previous books she has read, I only caught one mispronunciation this time; yay for her improved skills :)

(4 stars)

The reader spoke English clearly. So a couple of words were mispronounced. This didn't interfere with understanding the story. This isn't a huge mystery as you figure out things along the way instead of having a big reveal at the end. The characters were interesting making this a nice listen.

Wonderful find of a story

I usually pick a random word and search. I get to know new authors, story types and readers. This reader is known to me for quality. Flaming story of intrigue, romance, hate and love and religion. Listen to it if you dont believe me!

OPPENHEIM'S BEST

(5 stars)

A compelling work with a loose, but reasonably satisfying ending. It was well read, and I presume that the reader is related to that resonance-voiced reader, Richard.

Good story

I really enjoyed this story! It takes awhile before you have any idea of the mysterious circumstances. The reader is very clear and steady.

Not usually an Oppenheim fan but...

This was a thoroughly enjoyable little mystery and, as always, very well read. Thanks to all involved.
