Reviews

Four stars for the story, but...

The story was interesting enough to keep me listening anyway, but Kilmer's reading was just weird, with innumerable & ackwardly-placed pauses and a bizarre cadence.

VIVA L'INVINCIBLE

Until the final sentence I still was not sure who was real and who was not. You will surely enjoy this one. Thanks to RK for another fine read.

Just the right complexity

This is an enjoyable mystery, with a good number of plot twists, but not so many that you can't keep track of all the characters or the story. I can't say I was entirely surprised by all of them, but it wasn't so predictable as to be boring either. Overall, a competent storytelling that does not demand too much from the reader.

Another fantastic original mystery story.

The story is magnificent and the reader is great. I highly recommend this book.

wonderfully written and very well read. Almost had me rooting for the bad guy :)

Having read the book, I thought listening to it would be good be

things. But while Richard Kilmer voice has a pleasant pitch he reads in phrases, dropping his voice in the middle of a sentence where there is no period, pauses where there is no comma. And paced at a beat that makes me want to tell him he needs a voice coach. I won't listen to another book he records

okay story

The plot wasn’t very good, the characters were boring, and the reader’s sing song narration was annoying. He reads many of these audiobooks, and I’m surprised he hasn’t gotten feedback to help him change his style. He along with many readers should get help with the pronunciation of foreign words before they tackle reading these stories for others.

a different kind of criminal

I enjoyed this mystery very much. There was a bit of humor thrown in. The reader has a pleasant voice that is relaxing to listen to. I've heard him read other mysteries. Thank you for your volunteering which must take a lot of your time.
