Mr. Lanahan, I am sure I am just one of many Who who will agree that yes your English teachers were wrong. You can write! That you truly do have that special ability to write the stories that people want to read and hear. More importantly, I’m sure you realize by now that your stories appeal to all ages just young people. For example, my mother told me that I taught myself to read at two years old and ever since then I have been an avid reader with an insatiable appetite for books. I am a combat veteran of the Viet Nam conflict having served multiple tours there. The U. S. Army medically retired me in nineteen seventy one. Since then I have undergone over seventy major surgeries, requiring long hospitalizations and convalescent periods. So as you can tell by now, I have had long years where all I could do was read. Since then I have returned to school for thirteen years and now have my Doctorate in Law. I have told you all of the above, to convince you that I could be in a sense considered an expert reader. On that basis please believe this sixty eight year old, when I say, I think you have immense talent. That your stories appeal to all ages. That you should try to look up your old English teacher and show them what I and so many others have told you, THEY WERE WRONG ‼️ I hope to be able to listen to more works by you. Maybe even more about Shadow Magic. Sincerely, Dr. Donald L. Gresham

Absolutely Awesome

One of the best Audio books I have listen to .. The writer and Narrator John Lenahan is memorising. I find myself laughing out loud and hanging on with excitement for the next chapter. And cheering on the Awesome Characters ..thank you John ... Also why isn’t there a film made of this book it would be Amazing ...Fantastic listening and would and do encourage everyone to listen to this fantastic story.BRAVO!!!

A Fun bit of folkloric adaptation

John Lenahan has pulled off a stunt that few have done since Edgar Rice Burroughs wrote "A Princess of Mars;" he has taken a rediculous idea and a story full of Deus Ex Machina events, and made a thoroughly enjoyable narrative. Lenahan's Tir Na Nog is a place the reader cannot wait to visit and does not want to leave. Connor is a reflection of every good-hearted teenager, and even when he is swimming with Mermaids or facing Dragons he remains relatable to the foolish young boy all men once were. I very much enjoyed this read.

excellent book

I've really enjoyed the shadow magic mini-series of book one and two and looking very much forward to book three. I am an older woman and still love the teen classics and this is right up there with them. I do have three young boys that I think will enjoy this so I plan to get them each a copy of both books one's book two is mountain print of their own. their mama makes them read when they're in trouble but they also enjoy reading so just means when they're in trouble no phone or game time lol

I loved the books. All I wanted to do was listen to it over everything else. Even though I’m 54 years old I still love dreaming about being in another world like you write about Can’t wait to hear the third book. Thank you for writing them. I also liked that the second book the music wasn’t as loud It always scared me when it came on in the first book. I like hearing it in the second book. Please keep writing

Hazel, Oak, and Magic!

I gave Shadowmagic, the first volume in this series, a five star rating, and this book is a worthy continuation of the story.. Prince Conor and his friends go on epic quests and fight desperate battles for the survival of Tir na Nog, the land of eternal youth, from Celtic mythology. This is a book full of excitement, laughter, tears, and a cliffhanger ending. I can't wait to see what the third and final volume brings.

Kept me Listening

(4 Sterne)

Decent book, careful to manoeuvre around copyright issues in a fun way, the language is a bit repetitive and underdeveloped at times, e.g. a reference to a “look that was usually reserved for my relatives” (I paraphrase) was made twice to the same character using the same wording some chapters apart. Excusing this though, it’s a good listen and I have no regrets! Keep up the good work.

Enchanting

(5 Sterne)

Kielty seems to be a wicked nasty version of scar from the lion king but the rest of the story has twists and turns that are very unexpected. It's hard to stop listening until the chapter ends through most of the book! I absolutely love it and have now recommended both books to many people I know. Keep up the great writing John!
