Sermon Nehemiah-Motivation. Text: Nehemian 1; 2:1-6 Nehemiah was not born in Jerusalem. He had probably never been there. He was a well to do servant to the king. He held a position of great honor. He was educated, successful and highly esteemed. What stirred in him when he heard this news about the city of Jerusalem?  Why would he be willing to sacrifice everything just to go build a wall?
