Garthowen: A Story of a Welsh Homestead
Gelesen von Craig Franklin
Allen Raine

The story centers around the Owens' family and young ‘Morva of the Moor’, the prettiest girl in the world.
The Owens of Garthowen, once a prestigious local family, are on a financial decline and they are now considered locally, to be simple farmers.
Morva Lloyd works for the Owens' family as a shepherdess, a milk maid and general helper. But is also considered to be a family member and was fostered by Sara, the neighbour. She is also loved by both of Ebben Owens sons, Will and Gethin, in slightly different ways!
This is the engaging tale of the family's complex and rolling situation. - Summary by Craig Franklin (9 hr 16 min)

A pleasant, gentle story with well drawn and, mostly ,likeable characters but what really kept me listening was Mr Franklin's amazing voice - brilliant characterisations , great Welsh pronunciations and, to me it had echoes of Richard Burton ( very nice !)
I absolutely enjoyed this book and narration. Beautiful!

I loved every word. The reader is so talented, and dialogued with various distinct voices of contrasting tone and accent.
