Time is the strangest of all mysteries. Relatively unimportant events, almost unnoticed as they occur, may, in hundreds of years, result in Ultimate Catastrophe. On Time Track Number One, that was the immutable result. But on Time Track Number Two there was one little event that could be used to avert it—the presence of a naked woman in public. So, Skandos One removed the clothing from the Lady Rhoann and after one look, Lord Tedric did the rest! - Summary by Original Gutenberg text (1 hr 17 min)

more fine reading by favorite narrator

(5 stars)

Smith is a great writer and I like everything by this reader, although his female impressions sound like an old dude sometimes

short and sweet

Great short story filled with knights, swords, axes and action. Just a good bit of fun and adventure to burn through an hour.

decent short story

reader is great but story has weak start and tries to weave two stories together not very effectively

A fine action tale with some confusing time travel bits

(3.5 stars)

I’m assuming there’s a sequel. There’s some odd parallel time line / time travel stuff wrapped round a decent swashbuckling tale of knights and battles and so on. It’s entertaining listening for that part. It’s read very well

excellent narrative, and an okay story but short. still haven't seen any people to check time line. story is still okay enough

(4 stars)

up to smiths usual standard, but as usual spoiled by the over use of the words ' stark and starkly'. a fault of all his books.

Mark Nelson is so easy and Enjoyable to listen to.

As usual, Mark Nelson brings this old-school sci-fi short story to life. Worth a listen.
