Meet Corliss Archer 10 Eps

(4.5 étoiles; 4 critiques)

“Meet Corliss Archer” was first broadcast on CBS on April 28, 1946, with Campbell's Soup as its sponsor. This program was CBS’s answer to NBC’s popular teenage show, “A Date With Judy,” aimed at enticing the younger generation to gather around the family radio.

In 1948, Corliss transitioned from CBS to NBC as a summer replacement for “The Bob Hope Show.” That same year, she became a comic book character, with three issues published by Fox Feature Syndicate. The show aired on ABC radio from October 3, 1952, to June 26, 1953, before returning to CBS. Despite its long run, fewer than 24 episodes are known to exist.

As with many Old Time Radio sitcoms, “Meet Corliss Archer” has many duplicated downloads due to made-up titles for episodes that lack current names. The series also made the leap from radio to television, with many copies available in the Internet Archive.
