Radio Noir

This is one of dramatic radio's last hoorays. This is one of the last few well written dramas before every last decent writer jumped the ship for television. Which is quite sad. I never understood why both mediums could not co-exsist. To this day I prefer some dramatic radio over MOST t.v. It leaves much to one's imagination, to view the scenery as we do in our minds. We are blessed that so many old radio dramas exist, still it's sad that to this day radio is a pathetic corporate advertising machine when it truly is a blank pallet for a lost art form. Shame on us for allowing dramatic radio to remain dead in an old vault somewhere behind the back lots and old sound stages of Hollywood. That Hammer Guy is a reminder of what could have been. ENJOY! These are well written and beautifully performed. Though keep in mind that the ridiculous music was added at a later date when these were re-broadcast. Same music that was incorporated into a run of old Shadow episodes that were bought an aired by a man who's name escapes me.
