The Logic of Vegetarianism

par

Lu par Lee Smalley

4.7

With clear logic and entertaining dialogues, the author presents many reasons for a vegetarian rather than a “flesh-eating” diet, and his arguments for not eating meat are as compelling today as when they were written. (Lee Smalley)

Well read and interesting

interesting to hear some structured arguments for and against vegetarianism.

Interesting read!

For a book first published in 1899 it sparked much to ponder over. I found this well read and pleasant to listen to. As a person who's recently realized this "fruit vs. flesh" diet topic has been going on since before Christ walked this earth, it's fascinating to hear how those from yesteryear understood the health benefits from simple observation, debated the morality issues of meat eating, and spoke of the natural inclination for humans to eat plant-based. The logic used and the arguments presented echo still to this day, though nowadays "science" backs these arguments. Very fascinating indeed.
