The Salem Concord, the treaty that has kept peace between Folk and Wizardry since the Salem Wars, has been breached causing the return of the Witch Hunts. Jesse Alexander takes it upon himself to end the war by embarking on an adventure against the Cadre and deliver two young Wizardry to the Secretary of Magic before it’s to late.

Secret wizard agent Ch-U-Ch races against time to stop Lord Alex from becoming the most powerful sorcerer and ultimate ruler of the world.

Meanwhile, the Mahgo brothers, Andrew and Brendan, exiled from the Folk world, hurry to mature into their new powers as they embark on a heroic quest against Lord Alex and his dark sorcerers to find the four elements and the Sorcerer's Secret.

The Last Sorcerer is a spellbinding fantasy adventure that returns the reader to Alivan's Wizards and Witches Corner Store to battle dragons, dark wizards, evil witches, zombies and witch hunters. In the world of magic nothing is ever what it appears to be.

Loved the whole series and wishing there were more :)

interview for a wizard

(5 stars)

found this book by accident when looking for a new book. was hopeful it would be good, but it exceeded my expectations, it was fabulous, really enjoyed it so also listened to the next book. I'v now listened to the next, which was also fabulous. the criticism 're characters & language must be from someone expecting Shakespeare!

Hello, J, Lukas here. The story is already quite good. For some unexpainable reason I really love the series, and also the more important characters as well as the main villain, Lord Alex. They just seem very likable to me, and so does some of the situations they're put in, ...

Welcome back! Lukas has an important point when he says the characters are likable. They are real enough that I care what happens to them. That reminds me, I still want a broom from Alivan’s Wizards and Witches Corner Store, so I hope the supply gets fixed soon. Thanks, J.A.!

First off, I truly enjoyed the series. Wonderful characters, with many nods to other fantastic stories about wizards and magic... i.e. the "mogul" family name. Or the spiderwick references. Great story telling. I thoroughly enjoyed it to the end. That being said, I would highly recommend an editor as to the numerous errors throughout the series. I understand the author read this and English is not his first language, but I found myself focusing on the mistakes. I wouldn't think too much of it but my kids rad avidly and I feel it's a writer's responsibly to correct mistakes because that's how children start to learn to read. My only other qualm would be the intermissions with the old sorcerer speaking. Thank goodness for the ability to fast forward. I hope I didn't seem harsh because i truly enjoyed the story. And I thought the narrator's voices were wonderful! They added so much to the story. Thank you for the great books!

very interesting story - good main narrator - bizarre voice between chapters

(4 stars)

I really liked this story a lot. Starts out with old backstory and then moves into modern day. Remains interesting throughout. When I heard that bizarre voice for the introduction of the book, I thought that was the narrator for the book and was astonished! Thankfully it’s not. The actual reader has the tiniest bit of an accent that doesn’t distract from the listening and the voice is clear and mellow. I did speed up the listening to 1.2 on the libx app. Be forewarned that there are a few interruptions (with that weird voice) between chapters promoting the author and title of the book. Just ffwd 60 seconds past them. Overall I’m very glad I found this audiobook and enjoyed the story a lot.

This was free audio book so I can understand many Inconsistencies. The story is pretty good but, the author is very repetitive with certain phases( toes,knees,etc..and the name of Jessie's store) and he doesn't remember his own story settings. Example: The crystal ball is covered in one moment and is being looked into the next. He referred to Jonathan's cousins as his niece and nephew. Characters disappeared too, like Jonathan's mother. I was invested in her and then nothing more. Time travel at it's best is hard get your head around. There first time in the series it was explained well, the second time it made no sense at all. I hope the book form was proofread. It has promise but, falls short. Harry Potter it's not. The reader is no Jim Dale either.

Enthralling!

i've loved the whole series - brilliant, thank you, and i've liked the indecision and resolution in each character, especially the teenagers. I really liked the reading too, except for the super-slow funny voice at the beginning and end of each episode. But great overall.
