The Coming Wrath

Gelesen von John K. Reed

A world lost in time and history. The earth as it was before the world wide flood destroyed the face of the planet almost five thousand years ago. In the Coming Wrath, you will confront the problem of evil, and the core of evil that is rooted in your own heart.
You will experience the tsunami nightmare of the beautiful Madrazi. Why has she been chosen to become the wife of Shem, Noah’s oldest son? She soon learns that Noah received a vision of God deep in the forest. The evil of mankind has overwhelmed the world, and the Creator will now act in judgment by sending a global flood. She cannot believe that the Creator would bring judgment on all the people around her. Madrazi will be strong, and will help her husband start a new life after the prophecy fails.
You will meet Jared, the battle commander, who believes in honor, duty, and courage. He does not trust in merely taking refuge from the evil threats. Jared is determined to build up the army to defend his beloved city.
Sechiall is the young man adopted by Jared, brought up by him in the ways of military science. Sechiall has his own plan for the city, a plan to become King!
The Coming Wrath. You will walk with Madrazi, Jared, Sechiall, Noah, and many others, in this Lost World before the Flood. You will experience the hammering sounds of ark construction, the slaying of a dinosaur, one-on-one combat, men dying in battle, action on the high seas. Be with Madrazi as she meets the Creator in the depths of her soul.

Now I really did not expect to like this book for being so religious but it was beautifully read and and a gripping story. Look forward to the next volume.
excellent novel!

John Reed takes the familiar story of Noah and weaves it into a fascinating novel replete with relatable characters, vivid descriptions, and plenty of food for thought. It is well written, and even though the premise and ending are already known from the beginning, it nonetheless retains its power to keep its audience fascinated. One cannot avoid reflecting on the nature of good and evil, the condition of the human heart, and one's own shortcomings. The podiobook reader, Marko Maljyh, does a fine job reading it. My only complaint is that books 2 & 3 are not available as audio books.
Good story that keeps you interested

A LibriVox Listener
Good story, though some of the theology is off. Meat being eaten, animals already have the fear of man in them and if how bad the people were was bad enough to make God sorry He created them, then we should have been destroyed long before now! Until weeks before the flood, that world was far less depraved than ours now is. But taken just as a fictional story, it's entertaining and the narration is good.
Amazing book

Really enjoyed this expansion on the story of Noah and even though it was obviously added too the content was relevant and thought provoking unlike Hollywood versions of the story. Only problem is can't find any of the rest in audio book
very good
