SCIFI ROMP

(4.5 stars)

A fun tale of scifi adventure. Even though it was the work of a noted scifi author, it certainly was filled with the prevailing "scientific" opinions of the day. While some have proved to be fairly accurate, many have been shown to be totally false. This should serve as a warning to us not to blindly accept the current ideas of distance and ages espoused by the current crop of astro physicists; most of these guesses (for guesses they are) will be disproved by the next generation.

Good Job Readers

The readers all did great! It is always fun picking out the human encyclopedia in Verne’s books. :)

That is because I was fascinated about the author's background, just how did he develop such an incredible imagination? The whole story was addictive bedtime reading!

Great fictional story disguising a deep understanding of science behind it's comedic exterior. Great story to listen to! Many Thank You's go out to the hard working narrators that give of their time and talents so that those of us who can no longer read the printed words do not lack access to them !!!

Ending Was Rather Abrupt

(4 stars)

Definitely a good book to listen to, especially if you love Verne. I especially enjoyed listening to the parts about building the cannon. I was sad that the ending was not more conclusive. It felt like the novel was not finished.
