I honestly can listen to anything read by peter tomlinson. such a soothing and unique voice. truly enjoyable for myself and my daughter. we are repeat listeners of all his recordings haha

barry chant
The reader's lisp was a little distracting at first but it is also admirable that he did not allow it to prevent him from reading. His voice is comfortable and easy on the ear. Otherwise this is is another entertaining and suspenseful tale by Edgar Wallace. His style is a little slow in places by contemporary standards but my wife and I enjoyed the author's digressions and discursions and his thoughtful insights. The story certainly holds one's interest and keeps the reader or hearer guessing. We also enjoyed his occasional humour at his own expense. Listening to it certainly made our drive from Adelaide to Melbourne appear much shorter than it was.
Very well read

Biblio
Wallace is never my particular favourite, being somewhat outlandish to say the least, but the story is well read and if you enjoy Edgar Wallace generally, you'll certainly enjoy this one.
good book

Julieg
the reading was perfect in my opinion. I do use the playback speed to adjust voices. that's why I like one reader only

ManyRoads
I found the sound quality and reading style difficult to enjoy. The story was also uninteresting

A LibriVox Listener
An intriguing plot keeping me in suspense with a twist at the end
