Emily of New Moon
Lucy Maud Montgomery
Leído por Leanne Fortune

Emily Starr never knew what it was to be lonely -- until her beloved father died. Now Emily's an orphan, and her mother's snobbish relatives are taking her to live with them at New Moon Farm. She's sure she won't be happy Emily deals with stiff, stern Aunt Elizabeth and her malicious classmates by holding her head high and using her quick wit. Things begin to change when she makes friends: with Teddy, who does marvelous drawings; with Perry, who's sailed all over the world with his father yet has never been to school; and above all, with Use, a tomboy with a blazing temper. Amazingly, Emily finds New Moon beautiful and fascinating. With new friends and adventures, Emily might someday think of herself as Emily of New Moon. This made me so happy. Your reading was quite emotional when it needed to be and I believed every character. ^^

The Book was just phenomenal, though the reader was hard to hear at times and her S's quite sharp at times, she did an amazing job and we really enjoyed how she took her time and really made every creator come to life. highly recommend if you don't mind a little whistle in the words every once and a while.😊
brilliant, gentle narration

Excellent Reader

I wasn’t sure about the accent at first, but very quickly got into the book and characters because it was so excellently read. I actually think the accent added to it in the end. There was some disturbing themes relating to animals which I found difficult, but I guess that was the times sadly. Would love to listen to more books read by this reader. Thank you.
Delightful honesty

Emily though young, has a wonderful way of innocently expressing how she feels. Which takes adults by surprise at her complete honesty. The book is delightfully clean of unsightly language often used in books of today’s world. Her life was difficult yet she felt a deep gratitude for her world, her surroundings and the people in her life. Simply delightful
