Great!

I really enjoyed this take on American history. I agree so much with Mr. Channing's philosophy on how history should be taught. And the reader was superb! Ms. Hester's voice is as clear and precise as an angel. I hope to hear her read to me again some day!

A Short History of the United States

I liked this book, it is a nice refresher of our Country's history. I would have liked the book to be longer and cover some of the more recent history also. The people reading did a very good job.

The most through 8+ hours of US history you'll find.

Worth the listen if you want a cursory overview of US history from European discovery up until the early 20th century. There were times when elaboration was found wanting but as the title suggests it is an introduction to the subject and a mostly fluent one. Endearingly read by a sweet Georgian too.
