the between episode news and commercial breaks are gold. They really put you back into that "Time zone". You can go back in a time machine hearing the news and commercials from the 1970s. The news is really just fantastic. "President Carter" there's even a news clip of the happenings in Iran, just before the hostage takeover, and that Pres. Carter said the Iranians promised to give the Americans there good security and take care of them. Little did we all know what would happen next. There is a commercial for a bank, and in those days banks really competed for customers. When the breaks are cut out by the uploader it takes away from the whole experience The audio on these is perfect I couldn't hear any artifacts and the sound wasn't ever muffled. My favorite episode of CBS Mystery Theater is "The Wandering Wind" Wow. What a story! If there is only one single episode you will hear from this program, listen to that one. Although the host EG Marshall promises us stories of the macabre, not all of the stories involve grim or deathly plots, some are just on the level of suspense, irony, or high strangeness. The programs themselves are very well done in both acting and writing, dialogue, all. The producer Himan Brown He lived in the very same apartment in Central Park West, from 1938 til he died at age 100 in 2010.

Thank you for all of the time and effort you have put into recovering these programs from reel to reel and cleaning the audio, then converting them to digital so that we can all share in your work. It really takes you back to the times when you hear the national news of the day. Then you get to hear those local commercials that add oh so much color to the program as well. Sometimes the commercials are more fun then the program itself!
