Mystery House (audition with Bela Lugosi)
Mystery House was an audition program for a planned radio series starring horror film legend Bela Lugosi. The program also featured stage and film actor John Carradine and radio's Lureen Tuttle, who would later become famous for her role as secretary "Effie" on The Adventures of Sam Spade.
This audition recording, titled The Thirsty Death, was recorded on July 3, 1944. It's important to note that Mutual had a series with the same title a few years later, but it is not related to this audition.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
