This collection of biographical sketches was produced in syndication in 1936. It features profiles of historic physicians such as Sir Joseph Lister, who promoted sterile conditions for surgery, and Sir James Young Simpson, known for his work with chloroform anesthesia. Other notable figures include Andrea Vesalius, Otto Warburg, Ignaz Semmelweis, Dr. Albert Schweitzer, Anton Leeuwenhoek, and Galen of Pergamon.

Although the plays in this collection are only a few minutes long, they collectively present a compelling history of the medical arts. Actors such as Peter Finch, Ellis Price, and Lorna Bingham contributed their talents to bring these stories to life.
