This tribute to Leo Robin was broadcast on the ABC program “Sentimental Journey” on November 24th, 1984. Leo Robin, an American composer, lyricist, and songwriter, is best known for his collaboration with Ralph Rainger on the Oscar-winning song "Thanks for the Memory." Throughout his career, Robin wrote many popular songs for film and television.

Born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Robin's early hits included songs from Broadway productions. He later moved to Hollywood, where he became one of the leading film songwriting duos of the 1930s and early 1940s. His contributions to music have earned him a place in the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
