Tessa, Our Little Italian Cousin

This is a novel for children which was written in the early 20th century. Tessa is a nine year old girl who lives in a poor Italian village.
Tessa and her family are waiting for their father to return from the city after selling the families produce.

Her father tells her she has been chosen to be a model for an artist in Rome. The story is about Tessa’s preparation for her first visit to the city and all the experiences that she will encounter whilst there. (Summary by Michele Eaton)
