Rawhide is a program of political satire and recorded music that aired on the CBC's Trans Canada network and later on the CBC AM network from 1946 to 1962. Initially, from 1946 to 1951, the segment was broadcast at 8:30 am on After Breakfast Breakdown. Starting January 1, 1951, it was aired daily from 6:40 pm to 7 pm, following the news.
The character of Rawhide was first created by Max Ferguson during his early radio days in Halifax, showcasing his unique blend of humor and commentary.
