I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook and would highly recommend this version of The Great Gatsby. The narrator has a delightful voice, and his rhythm and cadence were perfect for Fitzgerald's particular style of writing.

Still didn't like it

(3 stars)

I had to read this back in the late 1960s and hated. With so many years behind me now I figured I owed it to this "great American novel" to give it another go. I Still hated it, maybe even more than before. I couldn't give one hoot to all the vapid, overprivileged rich people. I wouldn't want to know any of them in real life. On the plus side, Fitzgerald writing is often lyrical, and this reader excellent. Frankly I can't understand why so many consider this to be such an excellent novel.

Brilliant
