Short view of history

(1 star)

Weisman describes a period of history in North America. In a short lecture it is impossible to cover everything, so for example, he leaves out the role women played in resisting the domination of men. But the biggest flaw in his logic is lack of historical perspective. Describing a period of history and giving it a name is helpful but it does not justify trying to recreate it. It is possible to accurately describe Nazi Germany, but the description is not a reason for trying to create a fascist state in North America. If he wants to define a patriot as a racist, that is fine with me. And I want to define a Nazi as a fascist.
