What an unusual novel!

Paul Busman
This strange and wonderful novel is like nothing else E. Nesbit wrote. I can't really say more without giving away plot spoilers. Just give it a go and be prepared to be surprised, and to suspend a bit of belief. Ms. Nesbit's writing as usual excellent with many perceptive insights into human nature. Most of the readers are quite good, some superb. I'm glad I stumbled upon this one.
