When Diana Henders' father dies and leaves her responsible for running a cattle ranch in Arizona, along with a gold mine on the property, she is left on her own to sort things out between two love interests, Hal Colby and Bull, both of whom are eligible foremen for the ranch. Then, trouble arrives in the form of her cousin Lillian and her lawyer, Corson, from New York. Lillian claims to own half the ranch, and wants to sell out to the Wainrights; a bullying father and son who own land nearby. Meanwhile, the shipments from the gold mine keep being robbed by the notorious "Black Coyote". The local sheriff seems completely unable, or unwilling, to put a stop to the robberies. Is Bull the Black Coyote? Is her half of the ranch worth fighting for? Diana needs to figure out who her true friends are, and whether or not her heart tells the truth. A very good Old Wild West romance. And an excellent narrator to read it.

Gripolli did a fantastic job narrating this novel by Edgar Rice Burrows in fact I very much enjoyed both E.B.R. is the author that actually got me interested in reading with his surprisingly long list of Tarzan series, I am even more surprised by the only Western I never knew of by E.R.B. very well written so that it was not completely predictable because most mistry (detective) novels are, but this truly isn't anything like that it's a true western and I honestly hope there is more E.R.B. westerns I am yet unaware of because I started with EBR back in latter 1970's while in school listened to possibly all through LibirVox volunteers (thanks every one) and am very pleased with Gripolli's reading style, no sound effects, no character effects and no added voice drama. just read the novel and let the author put in all the drama they believe their novel requires 🤏🏼. Thanks Gripolli and always thanks LibirVox find me more E.R.B. westerns 🤯⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
