How could people lived thru this

(5 Sterne)

At the beginning of this book, I didn't like it. It seemed slow and dull. But a few chapters in everything changed a lot is going on, pirates, capture of innocents aboard the ships. Strange ruling practices, some horrid and cruel Algerian pirates. Prisons were worked to death, tortured, and not considered human. Thankfully enough good people existed in the city and thus many prisoners had hope. I love this reader, he has a consistent tone and reads at a good pace. I appreciate that he was the only one reading this book.
