Weird Circle - Single Episodes
The Weird Circle was a 30-minute, syndicated supernatural and fantasy series that aired from 1943 through 1945. With a total of 78 episodes produced, the show featured stories from renowned writers such as Robert Louis Stevenson, Victor Hugo, Edgar Allan Poe, and Charles Dickens. Most of the tales were drawn from the Victorian era or earlier.
Despite its low production budget, the series managed to captivate audiences with its unique storytelling approach. One notable aspect was the absence of music, except for transitions between scenes, which some believe contributes to the show's timeless quality. Produced in New York City, it relied on local acting talent, creating a distinctive atmosphere that remains engaging to this day.

I have only listened to about 15 of these shows, but i do like the classics stories. when you start with great material the radio shows become great. and I do like Poe. Episode 40 is not "The Dream Woman" it is a duplicate of episode 39, "The Middle Toe Of The Right Foot"
Great horror anthology

Great horror stories. All are stand alone episodes from varied sources. Some are classics from authors like Poe. Others are written for the show, so there are variations in quality and a wide variety of subjects. Compare with Creaking Door, Arch Obelor etc

Episodes 3 and 18 don't seem to be damaged files. Otherwise, this is a great series!
