Screen Guild Theater
Miss Brown of Worcester
by
Screen Guild Theater brings Hollywood performers to radio in dramatic adaptations of stories and films. The series is distinguished by its changing casts of well-known screen actors, who take on leading roles in each presentation.
Episodes offer a self-contained dramatic performance, with dialogue, music, and sound effects shaping the story for listeners. This recording presents Miss Brown of Worcester, a title that suggests a character-centered drama, delivered in the polished style of a radio theater production.
The appeal lies in hearing familiar film stars work in a different medium: performances unfold through voice and sound, while the ensemble format gives each story its own cast and atmosphere.
This recording is part of the Old Time Radio collection.
