The Thin Man
The Case of the Glamorous Clue
von
Nick and Nora Charles are a witty, sophisticated husband-and-wife team whose adventures blend mystery with comedy. Nick is a former detective, and Nora joins him in investigating cases, bringing her own sharp humor and lively perspective to their partnership.
The radio program adapts the world of Dashiell Hammett’s The Thin Man for a continuing series of crime stories. Listeners follow the Charleses as they encounter suspicious circumstances and work through clues, with dialogue and sound effects bringing the investigations to life.
The appeal lies in the contrast between the intrigue of a mystery and Nick and Nora’s playful banter. Their easy rapport gives the series a light, urbane tone, making it as much a portrait of a charming partnership as a detective adventure.
