Love it!

I listened to this while I was at work, and I enjoyed every minute of it! I used to watch the movie when I was younger so I had the pleasure of the movie play in my head while listening to it. I enjoyed the different accents the person reading it did and felt her voice was very appreciate for how the book should feel. Definitely recommend!!
Just Magic!

I love this book. Truly. I love reading the written version and I love listening to this version. I laugh and I cry and I smile and I want to jump for joy every time. I couldn't recommend it more.

La lecture de cet ouvrage en anglais est facile à suivre pour les francophones...à part les expressions du yorkshire qui donne du charme au récit. L'histoire est formidablement raconté et on a qu'un seul regret: quand le récit s'arrête.

Fantastic book. Been a long time since the last reading. Made even better by the reading of Karen Savage. Karen could read the phone book and I'd be inclined to listen. Listen to all of her books and want for more.
Sweet story, very well read

This is my 3rd or 4th book read by Karen Savage. She has become a favorite reader. She seems to favor the best books, such as The Secret Garden, and as a reader, has the unique ability to bring a story to life without overdoing it, letting the listener forget he's being read to. Karen did an especially good job on this story, which depended significantly on the "broad Yorkshire" dialect. She read it beautifully with a very convincing accent.
Perfect in every way

I first read this as a youngster and really enjoyed the story. Now, at 74, I still love the story but I'm so impressed with the quality of the writing and language. The reader, Karen Savage makes the book come alive. Her clear diction and pronunciation are flawless and her use of different voices for each character, and rural accents are the icing on the cake. I haven't enjoyed an audiobook this much in a long time

I thought I knew the story, however, on listening, I realised that I had missed so much! This was such an enjoyable story and remarkably uplifting, thanks again to the reader, Ms Savage, she managed to cope with the axcent twists...Sad to come to the end, but could hardly put it down..! thank you, again, Librevox and Ms Savage.

Favorite book of all time! I read it as a girl and I have loved it for over 30 years. Karen Savage is my favorite LibriVox reader. Just beautiful. If you haven’t heard her yet, you’re in for a treat. She brings such life to any story. All of her reads are saved to my favorites library.
