He Knew He Was Right
Anthony Trollope
Lu par Arielle Lipshaw

He Knew He Was Right is a 1869 novel written by Anthony Trollope which describes the failure of a marriage caused by the unreasonable jealousy of a husband exacerbated by the stubbornness of a willful wife. As is common with Trollope's works, there are also several substantial subplots. Trollope considered this work to be a failure; he viewed the main character as unsympathetic, and the secondary characters and plots much more lively and interesting. boring long book

I found this book so boring! the reader is excellent but what a ridiculous story about a stupid husband and stupid wife that fight about a old man... I don't even want to finish it, there better books.
Relationships & Romance

Naesmile
Once again Anthony Trollope shows us a variety of courtships and a variety of relationships. The main story is quite sad and the reader can’t help feeling that there are elements which AT must have witnessed in life. The characters are well drawn with Detective Bozzle, Colonel Osborne, and Aunt Stanbury leaving a strong impression. AT deftly weaves a host of characters throughout with storylines both tragic and comedic, as is his way. Lovers, siblings, parents, children, cousins, friends who come & go; all relationships have their moment in the sun. We even get a glimpse of foreign parts and customs, as well as slices of social station. It’s a long book but there is a lot within its pages. Arielle Lipshaw does a wonderful job as reader. She speaks clearly, keeps a decent pace, and reads with flowing fluency.

this book could have been a favourite. but the narrator seemed to be in a race to spew out as many words as she could, including running sentences together. Please, for gods sake, get rid of her! she ruined the entire book with her 100 mph delivery! awful!
One of the best

Haggis Father
One of the better Trollope's showing off his ability as a psychologist. Trollope has the skill of creating complex situations with any real baddies but highlights the chance happenings and slight wrong decisions that can lead to real trouble. And very well read.
THANK HEAVENS FOR THE SUB-PLOTS

AVID READER
Trollope is always interesting because of his sharply defined characters and his descriptive genius. These saved this book because the primary plot was wretched, the married couple being bull-headed and totally incapable of sane communication. Extremely well read!
Thank you....

Although a little long-winded at times, this is an enjoyable story with the usual Trollope cast of strong characters. Thank you Arielle Lipshaw for your beautiful reading of this book.
loved it!
