i <heart> Katie Riley ... i think her reading style seemed exquisitely par on, for this story ... she is a bit "dry" but something about that voice of hers in narration creates a lucid dream of brilliance and beauty for me .. oh and obviously Doyle delivers
very good

a regular Conan Doyle that starts in London and turns into a western before the end. very good story with a good narrator

the narrator sounds like a computer voice. try a different version. normally I try to get past a bad narrator, for a good story, but 5his recording was not worthy of the otherwise excellent experiences I've had on this app.
An unusual but thrilling episode

With a backstory filling half the content without Holmes this is not the average case telling, but Conan Doyle gets to show his range. Clearly read and well paced.

I think that this is my favourite Sherlock Holmes story. it features all of the elements for which the character is famous but has an underlying dripping story. it took a little while for my native English ears to to come to terms with the reader's voice but I'm glad I persevered as I really enjoyed her reading.
