Fun, sweet story

Lovely book and an incredible reader - she brings all the characters to life with their own distinctive voices, and reads with so much energy. The reading makes the story far more enjoyable than it would be otherwise - and it's a great story in itself! :)
Well read.

one of my favorite old-fashioned stories

The reader did a wonderful job. This story about a family coming together in hard times and loving each other during every second of it has always been one of my favorites. A classic.
well read

excellent reader. I had forgotten how much this is a "period piece"; family is poor but happy, they don't have quite enough food but the little girl has plump little hands. wishful thinking by someone who has never experienced true want, but very typical of literature of that time.
