Holidays at Roselands

This is the second book of the much loved Elsie Dinsmore series and starts where the first book left off. Elsie is still recuperating from her weakness, with her kind and indulgent father by her side.

The story revolves around how a strong bond of love and understanding takes root between the father and daughter, as they holiday at Roselands, and visit exciting places, with some of our favorite friends from the first book, Mr. Travilla, Adelaide, Chloe, Lora and the others. Great Book!

if you're looking for a book of all ages that will point to Jesus, this is it!!! the struggles Elsie has are ones all of us Christians have! Great book!

Still one of my favorites!

I’ve listened to this so many times and it always feels like the first time!

Love this book!

I really enjoyed this book! I have almost the whole collection, but I love listening to them!

Child abuse !!

'Papa' would be in jail if he tried that stuff these days !!

I don’t know about you, but this does not feel like a Christian book. The way the author depicts Elsie’s father is just horrible. I get it he’s a young father. But in all seriousness, I have never met a single man that’s like this unless he’s a really bad person. It feels like all the Elsie Dinsmore books have no rhyme or reason they are so a illogical an exaggerated.

(5 stars)

This is another dear book that encourages trust and obedience, but with the understanding that those two are warped without love-- God's love and then love for one another. The title is very out of character with the plot, and some readers are better than others, but it is a worthwhile book to listen to.

A beautiful sequel to the first book

I really enjoyed listening to this book! It shows the beauty of Christianity and how all things work together for good to those who love God.

Great book ,but it seems that Elsie had more sense than her father 27 year old ,it seems that he was acting more like an 8 year child than Elsie.
