Most of the stories were not familiar to me. A few were rather wry.It nice to have a traditional story telling style when I listen to relax, and these older writers use it. I liked very much the inclusion of the oriental story; it piqued my cultural interest. All of the readers were very good whether they were trying for a dramatic reading or a straight nicely inflected one.

There is something for everybody in this collection of macabre tales. I thoroughly enjoyed this volume and will be on the next shortly. Some of my favourite readers make an appearance and some other great recordings too. A good choice for car journeys etc.

few interesting stories. some recordings sound tinny. some reader over exaggerated their reading, just not my thing.
