Jasper Holt was a neglected child. As a consequence, he grew up to be angry and independent - generally good, but not caring what others thought of him... until he met Jean Grayson, the first truly good person he ever met. He knew she was out of reach to him due to his bad reputation. Her very existence and belief in him is motivation for him to change. - Summary by TriciaG (6 hr 19 min)

lovely book

I always enjoy Grace Livingston Hill books. The reader on this book is very easy to understand and enjoyable. I’m not sure why others have complained about her. I do have favorite readers but any that read precisely and clearly should get a thumbs up. This reader definitely does that.

Interesting book.

Another book by Grace L. Hill that I have really enjoyed listening to. Also the reader did a good job. It is light hearted and shows how people's attitudes influence those they are around. Love and belief in God truly uplift people.

Good story, love brings faith

typical of the author, descriptions of small Midwestern town well drawn. reader has an odd cadence to my ear, but I adapted and enjoyed the tale.

Roses, and Horses, and Trains - oh my.

So good I want to start over and listen again. I only wish it referenced Jesus and not just God.
