A short story, but full of insights into human nature - all of our frailties and hypocracies laid bare. The ending is devastating. The story is also very well read. Would also love to hear the same reader do "The painted veil"; another great novel by this author.

Great short story about the hypocrisy and harm caused by bigotry , a lesson unfortunately too current. Very good reader.
