a Joy to Read

A LibriVox Listener
Another excellent read from Martha Finlay. I appreciate the details and balanced view about the war. Although the characters are mourning great losses, they continue to look to the Lord Jesus for strength.
Lovely book!

Preformice was amazing! A few bad readers, but everything else was awesome! Listen to this!
Still Great

Monkey Princess
You need to make sure that the child already understands the cilvil war or else they will be very confused. But I like how it never discriminate the blacks. It actually supports the blacks.

A LibriVox Listener
I love the book but some of the reader are very hard to understand.

Annika Matson
I'm giving this book 4 stars instead of the 1/2 star I gave the earlier books. It has less disturbing abuse and more interesting insight on the civil war. Of course the characters are all still stuffy, and the villains are too evil. But I still learned some things :)
nice story

Mrs.Crr
reader of first few chapters seems to have trouble pronouncing words clearly. I wish those chapters would be reread by another reader to make the story more enjoyable to listen to.

Sarah-Rose Davies
though strange to the ears of some people, this story is sweet and pure just like the previous ones and shows lovely and determined strength for God.
