Moonbeams from the Larger Lunacy offers a collection of sharp and witty reflections on life in the early 20th century, penned by the renowned Canadian humorist Stephen Leacock. Through a series of essays and short stories, Leacock captures the absurdities and ironies of everyday existence, inviting listeners to laugh at the quirks of human nature.

Set against the backdrop of 1915, Leacock's observations range from the mundane to the profound, blending humor with a touch of cynicism. His unique voice and keen insights provide a window into a world that, while a century old, still resonates with contemporary audiences. Each piece is a delightful exploration of societal norms, personal foibles, and the often ridiculous nature of life.

With a style that is both engaging and thought-provoking, Moonbeams from the Larger Lunacy stands out as a testament to Leacock's mastery of satire. This collection not only entertains but also encourages listeners to reflect on the timeless themes of human behavior and the complexities of modern life.

Tricia G takes us through these works- sometimes the wreckage of normal writing, sometimes utter strangeness—, but she’s always the same— sort of amazed! She and Leacock are great.

Tricia G - Thank you

Tricia G is an amazing reader and so perfect for Leacock. Not all the stories are his best - but there is still some memorable stuff. Well worth a listen.

I just can not listen to this reader.

I'm still cackling! These stories are a delightful mixture of elevated brow mockery and complete roars of hilarity. Thanx again Trisha!
