They are both knights of England and they are both in love with their fair cousin. But the riddle of the story is which does Rosamund love?

The adventure begins when Rosamund is taken from England and carried to the East. The plot thickens as the two young knights follow her in hopes of rescuing her from the Muslim leader, Saladin. As the Cross and the Crescent face each other at the Battle of Hattin, the story of Rosamund is unfolded and the riddle is solved.

It was an adventure, suspense, and romance. I was thrilled and amazed at the religious attitudes...I know...it's just a story. Anyone will enjoy this story Muslem or Christian. Please listen!

H. Ryder Haggard skillfully weaves this tale of a time shrouded in mystery where heroes and villains are named and their deeds brought to light. Bitter-sweet and thoroughly enjoyable to hear read by Ms. Rasmussen. Thank you!

Haggard at his best! And the reader is excellent! It is so enjoyable when one reader does the whole book. Lovely job, Ms. Rasmussen. Your voice fit the book so well. One of my favorite books of all time, and played out so much differently than expected.

The reader Ms. Rasmussen was great. She didn't try to sound like a man when reading their parts but showed the depth of all characters in other ways. I was never bored by this book, how H. Ryder Haggard came up with this story, with even some accuracy to the history is beyond me. There was suspense, mystery, explanation od different cultures and religions AND a love story are expertly wound together. it keeps your attention for the entire reading.
