Life on the Mississippi

John Greenman, you are a wonderful person to listen to, especially to Mark Twain. I love looking at this world through the eyes of this great American treasure, namely Mark Twain.
Excellent stories, superb reader

I'm big fan of Mr Clemens and I really enjoyed this work, although the latter chapters didn't hold me as much. The reader has a voice that sounds like I imagine Mark Twain might if reading this himself. I'll listen to this one again....
It's no wonder that Kaiser Wilhelm enjoyed this so much

Rick Allen
excellent book, excellent reader

This book is excellent. You should also listen to Innocence Abroad. Best possible reader.
Perfect reader, fab book

The perfect reader. I've realised since listening to John Greenman read Mark Twain's books, that not only do I love Mark Twain's books, but that John Greenman is the perfect reader. He knows the books SO well that all his readings are faultless. You bring the books to life, thanks John :)
Typical Mark Twain

A fun look into the colorful past of what life on the mighty Mississippi was like in typical Mark Twain style. Mr. Greenman did an exceptional job of reading, as usual; you felt as if Samuel Clemens was reading it himself. I highly recommend this book.
Another world.

Fascinating takes and tales of America in its youth. Some of the stories are heartbreaking, some are ridiculous, all are interesting. Other than his odd pronunciation of Mississippi as "Missasseppi" the reading was entertaining and well paced. Very nice.

Mr. Greenman's narration was so good and professional that I could visualize each scene/each character vividly, and enjoyed each chapter one after another. I listened to the whole story twice. Thank you very much.
